Description

Our 229th Diocesan Convention will be held at St. Luke's Church in East Greenwich on Friday and Saturday, November 8 and 9, 2019. Convention will begin on Friday with worship at 7:00 pm followed by a dessert reception. Convention’s business session will begin at 9 am on Saturday at St. Luke's Church.

Ticket Sales end November 7 at 12am.

Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. for a continental breakfast provided by the RI Episcopal Church Women.

All are welcome to attend, but only Canonically Resident Clergy and Parish Delegates have vote. Please coordinate your registration with your parish leadership to avoid duplicate registrations. Pay careful attention to which ticket type you select when registering. What ever you type in your registration is how it will appear on your badge.

If you are an alternate delegate who is taking the place of your parish delegate, please read these two options before registering:

1. Your parish can mail or fax to us a revised delegate form listing you as a delegate, signed by your priest-in-charge or Sr. Warden, if priest is not available. After this form is recieved, you may register online as a delegate rather than an alternate and will be able to vote. Please fax to 401-331-9430.

2. You can register now as an alternate, then you may switch status on the day of Convention. Your priest-in-charge or Sr. Warden must sign your registration card at Convention to approve your switch of status.

Please note - If the priest-in-charge or Sr. Warden from your parish are not attending Convention, you must use option 1.

Organized by

The Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island is a gathering of the 52 Episcopal Churches in Rhode Island, served by the Bishop, The Rt. Rev. W. Nicholas Knisely and his staff who support congregations as they carry out their mission and ministries. They provide resources and educational opportunities to encourage spiritual development and outreach in the churches of this diocese, as well as in the greater community. Together, our Bishop and churches work to do large-scale ministry no church could operate alone, such as the ECC Summer Camp, the Center for Reconciliation and more.
